Building Permits

You are required to obtain and have an approved building permit before beginning your project. All permits with a fee over $25 will require council approval.

To obtain a permit for both residential and commercial uses, simply download the forms below (if available) or give us a call and we will be happy to provide you with the necessary forms.

$25 building permit fee:

  • Fence
  • Shed less than 120 sq. ft.
  • Deck
  • Driveway work (cement or asphalt)
  • Roofing
  • Siding
  • Replacing windows and doors- permit required only when the new dimensions are different than the old dimensions.

 

$50 building permit fee:

  • Residential unattached garage
  • Residential accessory building over 120 sq. ft.

$100 building permit fee:

  • Residential one family structure

$250 building permit fee:

  • Residential multi-family structure
  • Commercial/industrial construction (under $100,000)

 

$500 building permit fee:

  • Commercial/industrial construction (over $100,000)
