Duncombe Community Center & Tornado Shelter

The Community Center and Tornado Shelter provide a great place for public and private events throughout the year. You can find the Duncombe Fireman’s Ball & Auction, summer water fights, and Breakfast with Santa here. The Duncombe Betterment Committee also uses the Center & Shelter to host many classes, bingo nights, vendor shows and Halloween & Easter activities for the kiddos. Currently there is a Base Fitness Class for seniors twice weekly in the Shelter.

Reservations are required to use the Center or Shelter and can ONLY be scheduled through City Hall, 515-543-5716. A $25 non-refundable fee is required to hold the date along with a signed contract. The remainder of the rental fee, $200 damage deposit, and proof of personal liability insurance is required for all rentals.
